I graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA in 1987. I practiced Acupuncture in the Boston area for several years, both in private practice, as well as at an Acupuncture Detox program at the Fenway Community Health Center. I helped cofound the Aids Care Project in Boston, designed to treat people living with HIV with Acupuncture and Herbs at little to no cost.
I have maintained a private Acupuncture practice for the last 15 years in Amherst, MA. I have a private office conveniently located in downtown Amherst, and also have done acupuncture at Amherst Family Practice where I was able to collaborate with physicians supportive of Acupuncture.
In 1992 I graduated from Northeastern University’s Physician Assistant (PA) Program. I worked as a family practice PA at Great Brook Valley Community Health Center in Worcester, MA and then at the Holyoke Health Center in Holyoke, MA, where I was also able to incorporate Acupuncture into this public health setting. Most recently I have worked as a Physician Assistant at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Amherst Family Practice, and currently at Sleep Medicine Services of Western Massachusetts.
I continued to be licensed in MA as an Acupuncturist and a Physician Assistant. I maintain my National Certifications as both an Acupuncturist and a Physician Assistant, fulfilling rigorous continuing education requirements for both professions.
I am also a student of mindfulness meditation and Qi Gong, a wonderful movement practice rooted in Chinese Medicine.
